laibach links

Here are a number of links to good Laibach web sites. There are many Laibach sites on the web but unfortunately many are never updated. I have ignored sites with little to offer, and non English sites (simply because my language skills are too weak to rate them). I have tried to offer a wide range of links that should appeal to all types of Laibach fan; from the simply inquisitive to the loyal fanatic. I have given a brief description of each site, with what one can expect. The sites are presented in no particular order.

Laibach Official Site
It should be a starting point for any new fan, but beginners may find the site slightly difficult to navigate. There is much information here about Laibach though do not expect it to be presented in a fun or shallow manner. Very good discography, and history of the band.

NSK STATE
Welcome to NSKSTATE.COM, the web project about The State of NSK and the groups that comprise the NSK (Neue Slowenische Kunst) art collective. NSKSTATE.COM is created and maintained by NSK citizens and friends. Slick modern site. Lots of NSK information, including where to purchase a passport.

Mute Records: Laibach's record company
Good site for finding out about Laibach's concerts and CD releases. Slick, modern, and updated regularly. You can buy Laibach material from this site.

Donald Campbell's Laibach Site
The most in-depth, and frequently updated Laibach/NSK site. Here you will find a wealth of information on Laibach. There is a very good history section, discography, lyrics, concerts, reviews etc. The news section is usually more up to date than Laibach's official site. The site is easy to navigate. Well worth a visit.

Retrogarde Reading Room
Unusual, yet very interesting, Laibach/NSK site. Well presented, and gives the impression you are visiting an NSK/Laibach house. Review, pictures, NSK 'uniform', etc.

Wikipedia Laibach page
Good starting point for Laibach information. Decent history of the group, and some easy insight into Laibach's music and methods.

Laibach Wines
South African winery run by the Laibach family. Although nothing to do with the band it is nice to think you could buy a few bottles with the Laibach name. The wines are well regarded.

Ljubljana Zagreb Beograd
A very good site run with much to read, and view. There is a discography, video list , interviews, audio, etc. There are many pictures of Laibach.The site is easy to navigate, and has a nice style. This site is updated regularly, with a helpful latest index.

MORE TOTAL THAN TOTALITARIANISM
Comprehensive work on the NSK by Peter Clarke (submission for a fine arts degree at the Irish National Arts & Design College). Indepth and insightful, this work contains much about Laibach, and many gems of information.

Omega's Laibach Web Page
Flashy, yet interesting site. There is a survey on this page where you can vote for your favourite Laibach tracks, albums, etc. There are some pictures, and some information. This site is easy to navigate since it is mainly just one page.

NATO Official Kosovo Videos
Laibach have always been associated with questions about the role of NATO in Eastern European affairs. Many critics have cited Laibach's work as prophesizing the recent bombings. I have seen interpretations both for and against the NATO action. Whatever side you are on, this site could be of interest to those that follow the work of Laibach ,the NSK, and the fate of Eastern Europe.

Convulsion Laibach Site
Although this sets out to be just an interview, this is almost a full Laibach site. The interview is hyperlinked, with graphics, two almost hidden Quicktime video clips of "In The Army Now" and "The Final Countdown" (if you can get them to work).
